9 yrs ago today, my Brother was an EMT in NYC, who wasn't supposed to work that day. When he awoke and saw the news, he immediately left for the site to help. He ultimately saw the 2nd tower go down, with many of his friends and co-workers still inside.
What is amazing to me is that He didn't even THINK--he just DID. That is a true hero. To My Brother, and all the other heroes who selflessly DID, I thank heaven for you.
I hope this day can always remind us of the wonderful outreach and brotherly love that followed this horrible tragedy. I think we need that now, more than ever.
